Coaching and support for tomorrow’s chamber musicians
Mentorships
Ensembles design a programme of study with a chosen mentor in a mix of private and public sessions. Public masterclasses are mostly held at Kings Place and are open and free to observers.
Residencies
Three days of immersive coaching and rehearsal in a quiet country setting away from the distractions of day-to-day life.
Hans Keller Forum
Hans Keller Forum provides a unique opportunity for college-age chamber ensembles to work with renowned mentors in an annual set of three 3-day residencies in Cambridge.
Hub
Created in 2021 in response to covid-19, Hub provides a venue for three ensembles to share a full day of rehearsal, an informal concert, coaching, feedback and discussion.
Visiting Professor Series
We invite eminent chamber musicians from outside the UK to work intensively with selected ensembles over a period of two or three days.
Hall One Masterclasses
These are held in Hall One at Kings Place and are given by world-renowned musicians, most recently Alfred Brendel, Steven Isserlis, and Sir András Schiff.
Online Discussions
This series of discussions was launched in response to the pandemic to provide a forum for chamber musicians to share ideas and create a sense of community and strength at a time when the future concert scene was looking particularly uncertain.
